Evoliris is a not-for-profit reference centre for the ICT industry in the Brussels Region. It was founded on the July 10, 2006 on the initiative of the Minister of the Brussels Region government in charge of employment.
EVOLIRIS is a founding member of the Microsoft Innovation Center Brussels.
To better match the needs of the Brussels business world and the ICT-training programs on offer. It does this by interfacing between employment, training, educational organizations and the ICT-sector in Brussels,
To support the actions of the employment, training, and education organizations both in terms of quality and in terms of availability by putting shared resources at their disposal,
To develop the technical and training expertise needed to implement learning programs on par with ICT-professions,
To reach these objectives on an operational level, Evoliris is be in charge of:
• Improving technical and training infrastructure,
• Promoting ICT-positions and publishing the required qualifications.

Three priority projects
Matching employment and training/education in the ICT-field by developing a database with ICT-professions and the training/education programs preparing for these positions. This database has been put online on April 28, 2008 (www.evoliris.be),
Screening (duly registered) unemployed people about their ICT-knowledge and/or people who are willing to acquire the skills needed for an ICT-related job,
Developing new specific training programs with committed partners based on market needs. Related inquiries are made by Evoliris, its partners and other organisations.

■ ISIB (A secondary school in Brussels)
A shared Cisco-platform to train both its students and job-seekers,
■ INTERFACE-3 (A training organization for unemployed women)
An IT/CISCO platform used to train future network administrators and to prepare for CISCO CCENT certification (partnership with Microsoft and Cisco),
Avails of a PC/server/network platform with 7 classes supported by Microsoft with Donation Software and by Cisco with network equipment. Used to train unemployed people on Microsoft Windows OS and other products, Cisco CCNA/CCENT, IT-security and programming (started in 2010),
A call centre training platform with 3 classes to train call centre agents and supervisors,
Evoliris and its partners have invested in an ICT-infrastructure in the Brussels Region. This infrastructure is shared by educational institutions and organizations addressing the training needs of students and unemployed people in relation to the ICT-market needs.
